Tactile/ Kinesthetic Learning Activities
Here at Spiramouse we have a unique product which we have sold with great success into the general retail market for 6 years . Children and adults alike have enjoyed using our Spirograph producing machine for their play / craft activities .
In recent months we’ve realised more and more that our machines both Spiramouse and Spirawobbler benefit those with Learning Disabilities through kinesthetic/visual experiences promoting sensory awareness and improving fine motor skills .Using our machines as kinesthetic learning activities can produce amazing results .
Our recent educational show at Manchester TES revealed that there are many areas where use of our products may be beneficial,particularly for children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ( ADHD) . Kinesthetic learning activities such as the production of a simply and rapid spirograph design can hold a childs attention and give an instant sense of achievement . Whilst at the exhibition we were also able to witness autistic children enjoying prolonged focused engagement with our Spiramouse and Vibrating Pen Spirawobbler which both have calming qualities, in turn promoting communication and descriptive language . Parents and teachers who deal with autism daily were amazed by the immediate results .
We now seek to explore the possibilities using the Kinesthetic Learning Activities and hope to be able to carry out trials within a teaching environment using both Spiramouse and the unique Spirawobbler vibrating pen holder .
Our objective is to promote creative play and improve hand eye co- ordination enabling and encouraging all ages and all abilities to achieve finished results whilst enjoying kinesthetic learning activities .
